Notice on the processing of personal data
Athina Maritime Learning and Development Center duly existing and organized under the Laws of Greece having its registered address at 44 Evelpidon Avenue & 1 Andrea Kalvou Street, 16673 Voula, Athens (hereinafter the “Company”) is committed to protecting privacy by maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of the personal data that applicants submit when seeking a job with our Company. This notice describes how we treat personal data that applicants provide to us during the recruiting and hiring process.
We collect, process and store applicants’ personal data, in order to evaluate their qualifications and consider entering into an employment contract with them. The legal basis of the processing of applicants’ personal data is to take steps prior to entering into a contract. The Company will not share the applicants’ personal data with third parties other than the employees and members of our Company, who will be involved with the processing of your application.
We will process only applicants’ personal data which are provided by the applicant him/herself. Also, we may ask you to conduct a personality assessment of how you perceive your behavior at work in relation to three key areas: people and relationships, tasks and projects, drives and emotions. Provided that we decide to make you an offer to work with us and you accept our offer, we may also contact your university or any other educational institution to which you have studied, in order to verify the accuracy of the information provided by you concerning your educational credentials.
As a general rule, Athina Maritime Learning and Development Center will store such personal data for a period of seven (7) years after the filing of the application, in case a position which matches the applicant’s qualifications and interests opens. If the applicant wishes that his/her CV is stored for a longer period of seven (7) years, he or she should send an email at the email address provided hereunder.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, applicants have the right to access, rectify and erase their personal data and the rights to restrict and to object to the processing of their personal data which are kept in our records. Applicants also have the right to withdraw their consent, in case that they have consented to retaining of their personal data for a longer period than seven (7) years and to receive their personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine readable format and to transmit them to another company. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing before its withdrawal.
